Awagami’s home of Tokushima is the birthplace of Japanese indigo where farmers have been cultivating it for centuries. The humble beauty of indigo was revived during the Japanese folk-crafts or ‘Mingei’ movement and Awagami proudly continues the tradition. This diminutive little stab-bound book features a textured indigo paper cover that has been dip-dyed multiple times in indigo pigment to create its pattern. Inside you will find wacho pages suitable for making notes, lists, and sketches. Each hand-bound book is unique.
